MDA MiDAESS Groups 1, 2, 3, 6, 7

Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Support Services (MiDAESS): MDA uses MiDAESS to prove the viability or Missile Defense through a well substantiated, comprehensive, and affordable Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Test Program, implement national engineering and support services for the BMDS mission across the enterprise, enhance the sharing of BMD expertise and knowledge across the agency, centralize the acquisition of support services manpower in a more efficient manner, and reduce Agency overhead and cost enterprise-wide.

DAI currently holds multiple subcontracts with Prime contractors in both the Full and Open and Small Business categories.

Upgraded Early Warning Radar COBRA DANE Ballistic Missile Defense System Integration & Test contract supporting the Missile Defense Agency, provides for the development and testing of Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR) and the COBRA DANE (CD) radar that provide acquisition and tracking of ballistic missiles launched against the United States, deployed forces, friendly nations, and allies. The effort encompasses the execution of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test related activities that include planning, integrating, executing, and analyzing UEWR and CD BMDS flight tests, ground tests (including MDA benchmark integration testing), and element tests for each test event defined in the BMDS Integrated Master Test Plan.

Aviation and Missile Command Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (AMCOM EXPRESS): AMCOM EXPRESS is a multi-award task order contract that provides the AMCOM and its supported organizations PEO Aviation, PEO Missiles and Space, Aviation and Missile Research and Development Center (AMRDEC) with full life cycle programmatic and technical support.

DAI currently holds multiple subcontract and Team Member arrangements with Prime contractors in both the Programmatic and Technical Domains.


Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance Contract (SETAC 10) provides systems engineering and technical assistance for SMDC/ARSTRAT and other associated Defense organizations in support of Air, Space, Missile Defense, Homeland Security/Defense, Warfighter, Cyber, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear missions. SETAC-10 functional areas include: Programmatic and Business Initiatives; Requirements Definition, Analysis, Integration, and Planning; Concept Development and Assessment; Program/Project Analysis and Assessment; Threat Estimation and Projection; Weapons Lethality, Survivability, Electronic Warfare and Kill Assessment and Effects Estimation; Engineering and Analysis Support to Assess Technology, Models, Simulations and Prototype; Logistics Assessment; and Environmental, Treaty and Security Compliance.

Navy Seaport Enhanced Contract (Seaport-e) provides the U.S Navy Virtual Systems Command (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVSUP, Military Sealift Command, SSPOs, NAVFAC, and USMC) with an integrated approach to contract for a broad range of support services through performance-based task orders. SeaPort-e enables procurement of engineering, technical, programmatic, and professional support services for authorized users through all phases of ship and weapon system life cycle including research and development; simulations and analysis support; technology development; system and process engineering; and quality assurance.

DAI is a sub to Booz Allen Hamilton (large Business) and to R&K Solutions (Small Business) SeaPort-e domains.


The Design Engineering Support Program (DESP III) contract is a five-year multiple-award ID/IQ contract vehicle providing a broad range of engineering services in support of any system or subsystem within the Air Force and other Department of Defense (DOD) agencies. The DESP III contract ceiling is set at $1.9B with task orders that will support specific objectives of improving system lifecycle cost and extending system operational life while improving performance and maintainability and ensuring safety and environmental friendliness. One of the primary purposes of DESP III is to provide the Air Force and other DOD customers with a contract vehicle to use for acquiring engineering services in a fraction of the time normally required for standard contract actions.

U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services (OPTARSS) II contract serves as a quick and efficient vehicle for obtaining a broad range of support services for the US Army and other DOD Agency’s. Primary task areas include, operational planning, training, modeling and simulation, flight operations, mobilization plans and execution, deployment operations, force protection program, and transformation.

Omnibus III contract awarded by U.S. Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) located at Warren, Michigan provides the Program Executive Office for Combat Services & Combat Service Systems (PEO CS&CSS), Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS), Program Manager for Future Combat Systems (Brigade Combat Team) (PM FCS), US Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), US Army Tank-Automotive Depots and Arsenals and their assigned Project, Product and Program Managers the services required for the successful execution of their mission. The objective of this contract is to provide information and products necessary for timely and cost effective management through all Acquisition Milestones and Phases, and throughout the life cycle of the program to include fielding, deployment, and disposal. Services include the following disciplines: program/project management, product assurance and test, technical, engineering, and logistics services.

Information Technology Services – Small Business is a multiple award, ID/IQ contract vehicle. It is the Army’s source of set asides for Small Business Service contracts of information technology (IT)-related services within CONUS, Alaska, and Hawaii. The purpose of ITS-SB is to meet the Army’s enterprise infrastructure and infostructure goals with a full range of innovative, world-class information technology support services and solutions in task areas such as Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT), Information Assurance (IA), Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) Engineering Services, Migration/Integration IT Services, and Warranty and Maintenance, at a reasonable price. Ordering is open to, Army, DOD and other Federal Agencies.

U.S Special Operations Command, Global Battlestaff Program Support ID/IQ contract provides USSOCOM the ability to acquire global, non-personal services unique to special operation forces, and expertise to provide intellectual capital to assist with day-to-day business operations in all mission areas of USSOCOM. Naval Education Training Command contract supporting the Operational Accounting Division for accounting, financial and program management support functions provides professional guidance and recommendations on accounting and financial system matters, advisory and assistance in the development, analysis, evaluation and improvement of accounting systems, procedures, policies and methods, to include development and implementation of operations procedures and techniques for the processing of financial matters and assurance of financial integrity. Support also includes account transactions, research, analysis, and additional administrative support.

DAI is a Prime Contractor for this effort.


Naval Sea Systems Command-Enterprise-Wide Contractor Support Services is an ID/IQ contract providing a full range of professional support services associated with all classes of Navy Submarines, inclusive of those in- services and under construction. Service areas include Logistics, Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management, contractor support services.

The DAI Professional Engineering Services (PES) Schedule provides customer agencies contracts for obtaining Professional Engineering Services in the Special Item Numbers 871-1: Strategic Planning for Technology Programs/Activities, 871-2: Concept Development and Requirements Analysis, 871-3: System Design, Engineering and Integration, 871-4: Test and Evaluation, 871-5: Integrated Logistics Support and 871-6: Acquisition and Life Cycle Management. Under DAI’s General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Contracts, government agencies can purchase engineering services or information technology services or products at established prices. The time required to obtain services is greatly reduced with these GSA Schedules because the Government has already negotiated contract prices and conditions.
